Tour de France

Spin class was hilarious today. For those of you who don't know, spin class is a 45 minute class on stationary bikes led by an instructor who tells us when to "turn up the resistance" and "get out of the saddle and into a climb" which basically means stand up on your pedals. It's pretty intense and I get a good workout. Usually the class is led by two 20something girls who pick a lot of fun songs to spin to. Today, however, we were led by a 65 year old creepy old man. He looked like Santa Claus (minus the belly) and acted like he was training for the Tour de France (thanks to Kelly for that image in my mind.) We listened to all '60s music, which he had picked "especially" for the workout. We listened to everything from the Beach Boys to the Righteous Brothers. I must say the older generation in the spin class was quite amused. The best part (well there were several best parts) was that he had comments about every song...like how it brought him back to the "early college years" and how we needed to run away from "Runaround Sue." The man was nuts. We also listened to a song about about "The Devil in the Blue Dress." Tour de France said that he only had one question for that devil in the blue dress, and that was "Do you have a number?" The guy is like a 65 year old sleezeball. And quite hilarious I must say! Needless to say I was glad when the 45 minutes was up and we did our "speed stretching" as he called it. I'm glad I went today. :D
