Verizon! Where are my people?

Yikes! Verizon has failed me today. I was happily watching the Wedding Singer, putting off writing my speech, and all the while my phone was searching for service. Now, on a normal day, this wouldn't bother me. Because if a phone call is important enough, they'll leave a message, right? Today is not a normal day. My sister Hannah left for Kenya today. I said goodbye to her yesterday, but she was going to call and talk to me a little bit before she left...IF MY PHONE HAD SERVICE, that is. Unfortunately, I missed both of her calls and now she is flying over the Atlantic Ocean towards her layover in Amsterdam before she gets to Kenya tomorrow. I'm fairly annoyed that my Verizon people left me in a dead zone. I mean, for all those commercials, you'd think I'd be safe anywhere! Wrong. My apartment last year had the same problem. Maybe I should give those Verizon folks a call and have them come cover Clemson.

In other news...no more procrastinating...off to write my speech.
